Information Product Creation – Fastest Way?

information product creationInformation product creation is a huge obstacle for a lot of people who want to make money online.

This is the main reason why affiliate marketing is so popular. After all, information product creation takes a long time and you need to be a professional to create one – Really?

After years of creating products for my clients, I notice that the most popular reason they want my company to create their information products is because:

- they believe they can’t do it
- can’t do it as professionally as my team
- don’t have time to do it
- don’t want to do it

Well I’m going to reveal a technique here that will solve the first 3 problems. Read the rest of this entry

The Most Important Step With Writing An Ebook

ebook creationWhen you write an ebook or hire a ghostwriter to do it for you, the focus is on creating a valuable information product so that your market will find it useful and recommend other people to buy it.

The purpose at the end of the day is to make money online with your products and establish yourself as an authority.

But one of the mistakes that I see a lot entrepreneurs getting it wrong is naming their ebook. What your ebook is called is very important in determining how many copies you can sell.

When a reader sees a boring title which doesn’t sell them a benefit or doesn’t make them curious, they’ll quickly ignore it.

It’s like going to a bookstore to find a book on losing weight. Normally you’ll only have 2-3 books to choose from. The reason is because the title doesn’t grab you. Nearly everyone buys books based on the title unless the author is famous.

Here are some tips on what to name your ebook.

Tips On Naming Your eBook

1.  Put your keyword in the title. If your niche is in self confidence, make sure these words appear in the title.

2.  Mention a benefit. For example, Building Self-Confidence Within 7 Days. The benefit here is how quickly the book can help someone achieve their goal.

3.  An alternative to mentioning a benefit is being mysterious. For example, Magical Self-Confidence Transformation.

4.  It’s a good idea to come up with names using a domain registry so that you can get the available domain name that goes with your ebook.

5.  Use a keyword research tool such as Google Keyword Tool to find out the hot words that people are searching for.

6.  Go to Amazon and read the titles in your market. Make a note of the titles which get your attention and make you want to buy them. Use similar titles for your own ebook.

Another reason why you should have a meaningful title with your keywords in them is because of the valuable back links that you will have. This will help your search engine optimization because when people mention your ebook, the keywords you are trying to rank for are displayed.

Additionally when you write articles to promote your ebook, you can create an anchor text based on the title.

Makes perfect sense right?

So before you start getting an ecover created, spend a lot of time coming up with  a good name. The time you will spend in thinking of a good name will pay handsomely for itself.

create information productsEven if you outsource your information product to the best professional ghostwriter in the world or spend years writing killer content, it won’t guarantee that you’ll make sales. This is what a lot of entrepreneurs don’t get. The money is in the MARKETING.

One of the best ways to market an information product online is SEO (search engine optimization).

As well as being free traffic (which is not a bad thing), the traffic is targeted. People use the search engines to find information. If they see your website ranked high in the listings for what they are searching for, they will trust it.

The God Father of all search engines is of course Google.

So if you’re ranked in the first page of Google for your keywords, you’ve got a herd targeted traffic hammering your website as long as you stay on the first page.

So let’s talk about how you can promote your information products on Google using SEO.

First, you have to understand what Google’s goal is. To stay as the number one search engine in the world, Google has to do one thing — Deliver relevant results to the users.

So if a user searches for the phrase “self-help books“, the top results must show website that are most relevant to those keywords. If a website is about mobile phone and is listed on the first page, then Google has failed.

Your goal therefore, is to make the search engines think that your website is very relevant to  the keywords.

So how will a search engine decide whether or not to list your website high in their search results  for particular keywords?

The answer is in your content and the websites that link to you.

That is all there is to SEO. There’s no magic or secret.

If your website has a ton of web pages that are related to the keywords and your website is regularly updated, then you’ll get on the search engines’ good books.

But to further make them consider your website to be ranked highly, they will consider how many other websites link to you.

This makes perfect sense. If thousands of websites link to you and some of these websites are ranking very high themselves plus they are relevant to the keywords you’re focusing on, then obviously your website is damn relevant for the keywords.

For example, let’s say that you have your own search engine and you have hundreds of websites linking to you and two of them are Google and Yahoo, you’re highly likely going to be listed on the first page for the keywords “search engine”.

This is easy to understand.

This is common sense but it’s amazing how people are still struggling with SEO. The main reason is because they are trying to find a fast way to rank high for their keywords.

There is no secret backdoor to ranking high on the search engines. Even if there is, the search engines will find out and blacklist whatever technique you are using.

The proper way to win the search engine battle and get a ton of traffic from your keywords, is to regularly produce good, fresh content and build as many links to your website as possible. The key word here is regularly.

When you hundreds of web pages of good relevant content and you have thousands of links to your website, you will get the traffic and rankings you want.

Here’s a simple action plan you can work on right away to get search engine traffic.

Simple Action Plan

1. Read up on search engine optimization and do your own SEO on your website. This is not hard. Alternatively hire some one to do it for you. Once your website is search engine friendly then you can start the real work which is the next 3 steps.

2. Create a list of keywords for your website that you want to be ranked for.

3. Write one page of content for your website/blog using 3 -4 keywords from your list. Do this every day. It’s a good idea to write in advance for a few days when you’re in a writing mood.

4.  Build back links to your website every day. This is tedious and boring. Highly recommend that you outsource this.

That is all there is to it. I told you it was simple.

However, it will 100% work. It is what search engines expect you to do.

This is why I always recommend my clients to create information products focusing on one niche, one website. All the back links and fresh content they create will not be wasted. It will turn their huge website into an authority.

So the next time you create an information product, think ahead of how you will promote it since that is where the money is. Search engine optimization is only one part of traffic generation.

create information product

Many people create information products because they have this great idea in their heads. The more they think about it, the more they believe it’s going to sell.

Within a few days, this person will want to implement the idea fast. He will look for ghostwriting services for the ebook, pay the fee and put it online.

Then comes the hard work. Writing and distributing articles, creating videos, building back links, posting on forums and buying advertisement.

But then the nightmare begins. Sales are not good. The website’s getting traffic but no buyers. Not the type to give up, the entrepreneur will begin
to market the ebook like mad.

After one or two months, he surrenders and admits defeat.

He concludes that making money online does not work. He thinks that people who create information products and are making a lot of money are lying. The person is gutted and has lost a lot of time and money.

This is a common story for a lot of people trying to make money online.
Where did the process of creating information products go wrong?

The answer is…he did not test whether the market will buy his ebook. This critical mistake happens all the time. People are excited about an idea and just spend time and effort on it, believing that success is inevitable.

So what is the first step of creating an information product to guarantee success?

There are 2 alternatives:

1. Search online. Find out what is selling and improve on the information.

2. Set up an advertisement to sell the product that is not created yet. If people click on the buy button, tell them that the ebook is sold out to the first 100 buyers. Ask them to be on the waiting list.

Using the second approach is the preferred way.

So before you contact a ghostwriter to create your information product, do your research first to ensure success. Or if you have an ebook you want to write now, contact a professional ghostwriter and ask him for advice on the topic you want written.

Listening to feedback and aiming to please, I have launched a new package which is more affordable to most people. The new package is called Gold Business Package and contains:

The price is only $1,097. So I’m waiting to see if this will appeal to more people who are looking to launch their own information product online.

Another thing I have tested on my website which has proven to increase response is having a toll free number, Skype and email for customers to contact me. I have gotten more people contact me about the ghostwriting service and close more sales.

So if you’re selling products online, try to display a toll free number next to your buy button. It should increase sales.

It is so easy to write and sell ebooks. Just gather your thoughts and information, throw it into a pdf file, stick a sales letter on a website and sell it using Paypal. But the million dollar question is, will your ebook sell? Here are 4 steps that will determine the success of your ebook and it is a process which Elite Ghostwriters use for our own clients’ projects.

1. The Title

This is perhaps the most important part of your ebook – the title. When people shop for books, the first thing they look at is obviously the title.

If you can come up with a title that will stimulate the reader’s emotions, you’ve won half the sale already.

For example, if a person is looking for improving his confidence, an ebook title such as “10 Guaranteed Steps To Improving Your Self Confidence” will appeal to him.

Many ebooks have failed to sell because their title is not attractive enough. It doesn’t give a promise to the reader that it will solve their problems.

An ebook title that is specific to helping the reader solve this problem, will sell copies just by itself.

This is also one of the reasons why “How To Win Friends and Influence People” have sold so many copies. If it was entitled “Guide To Meeting Friends In Different Places”, its success maybe a very different story.

2. Entertaining

If your ebook contains excellent information but is written in a tone of voice that will even bore a librarian to sleep, it will fail.

People read books to learn but they also want to be entertained in the process. If you present the ebook in an entertaining way with illustrations and some humor, they will enjoy your book more and tell others about it.

3. Conclusion

After you have explained your concepts with your ebook, write some pages to summarize what you have taught and how the reader can follow your advice and change their life.

After reading your conclusion, the last thing the reader will remember is the list of advice which you have delivered to them and how they can now start to apply the knowledge.

Never, end an ebook without summarizing what they have learned and how they have benefited from reading your ebook. End the ebook making your readers feel pleased and satisfied with information.

4. Sales Message

When you market your ebook on your website, sell the benefits to your prospects. Explain how the ebook will improve their lives and the especially the end result. Don’t focus on the features of your ebook such as the number of pages.

If your ebook is on building self confidence, focus on how the reader will be able to make speeches in front of crowds, improve their performance in work and get the promotion they deserve.

People will buy your ebook because they want to achieve something. So make sure you tell them exactly what they will achieve. Glorify the outcome and sell them the dream they’re after.

It is sad that many quality ebooks don’t sell well because of the sales copy and title. It is all part of marketing. So the next time you launch an ebook, make sure that you follow theses 4 steps to sell more copies.

Information product creation is a simple task once you have two or more products under your belt.

But when you first start out with creating your first ebook or physical product, expect a lot of obstacles and frustration. Especially when the damn thing doesn’t sell.

What a lot of people don’t understand is how to approach creating an information product.

Once you have an idea to create an information product, you should immediately start building a targeted list. Collect these leads that are interested in your product and ask them what sort of information they want to read about. Here are the steps on how to achieve this.

1. Free Report

Create a free report that is related to the product you’re selling. If you have an idea to create an information product on how to market a printing company, create a report discussing the mistakes printing company owners make with their marketing.

The readers of this report will be targeted to owners in the printing industry. If you’re in the food industry, you won’t be interested. The objective of the report is to capture the attention of the printing company owners and have them trust you by educating them and showing your expertize.

2. Professional Squeeze Page

Create the best looking squeeze page you can and offer your free report as a gift for people to sign up for your newsletter. Get a graphic designer to create this squeeze page. There should be no other links on this squeeze page apart from a subscribe button to download the free report and sign up to your list.

3. Following Up

Next create several messages which should be sent to your subscribers every 2 or 3 days using an autoresponder account. The first email should be sent immediately thanking them for joining your list and offering the free report for them to download.

Your other messages should all contain good tips which your subscribers can use. It is best to offer one easy to use tip per email.

With some of the emails, tell them a little about yourself and try to build a relationship. Your objective is to get them to know you, trust your advice and read all the emails you send them. It’s critical therefore you don’t make a mistake and spam them with unrelated offers or being rude to them. Treat them like your most valuable customers.

4. Survey

After a few weeks of providing good tips to your subscribers, start to tell them about an idea for an ebook that you want to write about. Tell them the topic and what you want to cover. This is the information product which you were thinking of creating before you started creating the free report and squeeze page.

Now wait for your subscribers’ response. Depending on your relationship with them, you should receive quite a few responses. If you find that the response is not so good, offer them something free as a bribe to give you feedback.

The best way to do this is to offer a free review copy of the ebook for the first 20 subscribers who reply. This normally gets the feedback coming in.

For the feedback, make sure you ask useful questions such as are they interested in the topics, what other topics would they like you to write about, would they purchase such an ebook and how much would they pay for it.

These 4 steps are your first task before you start creating your information product. Creating the free report (about 5 pages) and writing the follow up emails should not take too much of your time. But with the feedback, you should know if it’s worth pursuing with the information product creation. If the figures look poor, then ban your information product idea. You would have saved yourself lots of hard work with nothing to show for it.
